Hvað er Eduroam?
Eduroam (education roaming) er alþjóðlegt þráðlaust netkerfi sem tengir saman háskóla og rannsóknastofnanir um allan heim. Með því að tengjast Eduroam geturðu notað sama notandanafn og lykilorð bæði í Háskólanum á Akureyri og þegar þú ert í heimsókn hjá öðrum aðilum sem taka þátt í Eduroam.
Hvernig tengist ég?
Leitaðu að þráðlausu neti og veldu eduroam.
Sláðu inn HA-netfangið þitt og sama lykilorð og þú notar í Ugla, Office eða Canvas.

What is Eduroam?
Eduroam (education roaming) is a secure, worldwide Wi-Fi service for universities and research institutions. With Eduroam you can use the same username and password both at the University of Akureyri and when visiting other participating institutions.
How do I connect?
Search for available Wi-Fi networks and select eduroam.
Enter your UNAK email address and the same password you use for Ugla, Office or Canvas.
Username: username@unak.is
Password: same as Ugla / Office / Canvas
Undanfarið hefur borið á vandræðum með að tengjast eduroam á Windows 10.
En til þess að tengjast er hægt að setja stillingarnar inn handvirkt í Windows 10.
Uppsetning á WPA (802.1x auðkenningu) fyrir Windows 10
Fyrst þarf að opna Control Panel í Windows 10.
Það er hægt að gera með því að slá inn control panel í leitarstikuna neðst til vinstri hjá Windows takkanum, og opna svo Control Panel

Select "View network status and tasks."Því næst smellirðu á Setup a new connection or network.
Next, click on "Set up a new connection or network"Smelltu á Manually connect to a new network.
Click on "Manually connect to a new network"Sláðu inn upplýsingar um eduroam þráðlausa netið eins og sýnt er hér að neðan og smelltu á Next.
Network Name: eduroam (allt í lágstöfum).
Security Type: WPA2-Enterprise
Encryption Type: AES
Enter the information for the eduroam wireless network as shown below, and click "Next."Network Name: eduroam (all in lowercase).

Smelltu svo á Change connection settings.
Click on "Change connection settings"Smelltu á Security dálkinn.
Go to the "Security" tab.Gættu þess að undir Choose a network authentication sé valið:
Microsoft: Protected EAP (PEAP) og smelltu svo á Settings.
Ensure that under "Choose a network authentication method" you have selected: Microsoft: Protected EAP (PEAP) and then click on Settings.Afhakaðu Validate server certificate kassann og smelltu svo á Configure
Uncheck the box labeled "Validate server certificate" and click Configure.Hakaðu úr Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any) kassann, og smelltu svo á OK.
Uncheck "Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any)" and click OK.Smelltu svo aftur á OK til að loka fyrri glugganum.
Click OK again to close the previous window.
Smelltu svo á Advanced Settings.
Click on Advanced Settings.Í 802.1x stillingunum hakaðu þá í Specify authentication mode og veldu þar User Authentication.
In the 802.1x settings, check the box for "Specify authentication mode" and choose User Authentication.Smelltu svo á OK og svo aftur OK til að loka fyrri settings glugga og síðan á Close til að fara út úr uppsetningunni.
Click OK, then OK again to close the previous settings window, and finally, click Close to exit the setup.
Þá er orðið óhætt að reyna að tengjast eduroam þráðlausa netinu.
Now you can try connecting to the eduroam wireless network.
Í innskráningargluggann seturðu svo inn þitt unak netfang og lykilorð
In the login window, enter your unak email address and password.
Nú er komin á tenging við eduroam.
The connection to eduroam is now established.
